Co-Founder / Managing Editor
Rocky is a Texas native and MA candidate in Second Language Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. It was in college, while working with Korean exchange students, that her passion for cross-cultural engagement grew, inspiring her to invest in the mission of HKC. She now works to sustain HKC’s dynamic work culture and dreams up new ways to recruit other talented, bright, and tenacious millennials to this cause.

Keoni was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and has a dual BA degree in Korean and Communications from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Combining both academic passions, he designed HKC with the goal of strengthening the bilateral relationship between the US and Korea. Applying his professional experience from working in Seoul and Washington, DC, he is honored to manage day-to-day operations and guide overall positioning and strategy.
CHIEF COPY EDITOR
Katarina was born and raised in Houston, TX and is currently studying English and German at the University of Texas at Austin. Her experience as a counselor who helped students from the Middle East acclimate to life in Texas exemplifies her passion for cross-cultural engagement. Katarina now equips HKC’s team of content creators with ideas, guidance, and resources that help them produce quality buzz-worthy content.
Kai is a Hawaiʻi resident currently studying Communications at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. During college, through his interactions with Korean exchange students in Hawaiʻi and a semester abroad at Seoul National University, his interest in Korea spurred him into action. Kai now oversees HKC’s multimedia content creation and hopes to convey the inspiring stories of millennials committed to the U.S. and Korea bilateral relationship.
KOREA TEAM MANAGING EDITOR
Eunsun Lee, a Seoul native, graduated with a BA in English Literature and Linguistics and a BA in Economics from Seoul National University. Eunsun spent a semester studying abroad at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, during which she committed much effort to connecting Korean exchange students with resident students. She has recently worked as an HR associate at a research and investment firm in Seoul, and now lends her expertise to building and managing a team of HKC editors and content creators based in South Korea.
